Its on dirt, but short track racing is pretty much the most painful thing imaginable. Picture the hardest 30 minute crit you can imagine, and then add rocks.

Yeah, no worries though. From the angle it looked like you had really long cranks. But if you're comfortable, then that's all that matters. Right?

I'm posting now in preparation for the suffering pictures which I'm sure to accumulate this weekend. A 3 crit omnium, it's probably going to be raining hard the entire time. Should be interesting.
Prepare yourselves.

Awesome pix you guys and gals! Some tough looking riders!!!
Cool!! Some of my teammates on the previous page pounding it out!
Man, I look like a skinny whimp compared to a lot of the guys on here.
Not really a suffering picture, but it is all I have right now. 2nd at Dana Point my Cat. I am not a crit rider, so I am always happy if I can pull off a podium in a Crit.
The sprint.

LOL nah, my wife thinks I am too skinny and I do to sometimes. I do well in the hills, but the big guys pound me on the flats. I am about 156 at 6'1". So, I am not too wacky when it comes to a skinny build. I was 218 last yr when I started riding. I go back and fourth on the kind of build I would like. I would love to be a big sprinter like Thor or TTer like Fabian, so I have to work with what I got. Considering most of the races around the west are Crits, sprinter builds seem to be the way to go.

finally tracked down a shot someone took of yesterday's rainy race.
i'm the one in the blue wool jersey in this shot, surely the only rider out there in wool! but it was a good day for it, that's for sure.
more photos from the race here.

camelbak. "Racerbak" to be exact... I AM "that guy"
I really like it though.
H20 in the camelback, carb/pro/electrolyte drink in the bottle. Works great for me and as I tend to drink nearly a liter/hour it becomes a must for most races.
