Awesome! Thanks you! I'm now watching Milan-San Remo live!! The video quality is pretty good as long as you don't go full screen.

Wow! This is great...and I'm even studying at the same time, as they have the choice of listening to it in French.

stick with the french commentary. Im listening to the english audio stream. Is Duffield even commentating the actual race or is it just a stream of conciousness thing going on? The riders are half way down the poggio and hes commentating the 1992 race

As soon as I saw Oscar Friere in there near the finish, I knew he was gonna win. When he is healthy he is head and shoulders above the rest.

Friere, awesome. Great positioning, great sprint, popped off at exactly the right moment. Milram: all for naught, eh?

Ha - that guy is on another planet. Entertaining sometimes...like with that really old fashioned Italian parade that was happening on the final stretch (while the race was still an hour or so away) - Duffield suddenly brakes down laughing, then says something like: the one with the black feathers is leading the sprint - hysterical1

Dang I missed Duffield commenting? That guy was hilarious on Eurosport 10-15 years ago. I wish I'd seen this thread before I committed to text updates on cyclingnews.com. Doh!

I think those guys were veterans of the Italian mountain troops. They wear those kind of hats with the feathers in them. They (or older compatriots) were part of the horrific fighting along the border with Austria in WW I. That fighting and the tensions leading up to it were the reason for some of those thrilling mountain pass roads that the Giro rides over. Initially built for purely military reasons (commercial guys were smart enought to take the easier routes).

Freire's friggin' awesome. Hopefully he'll stay healthy for more than 5 days this year. Last year he tripped on everything from a stone to his kid's stroller (no joke).

Petacchi wasted a perfect leadout train. Maybe they should've lead out for Zabel instead.

Does anyone think Ale-jet will ever return to his 2005 form?

And yet he can hop curbs to win races.
