A wild day at the Redlands Classic
Who else has been following the NRC action this weekend? Velonews has been posting some good reports but they don't have today's final stage up yet. The winning break consisting of 13 guys put almost four minutes into the rest of the peloton. The top three GC guys before today's fourth and final day weren't part of the break and slipped all the way down to 9th, 11th and 13th overall, respectively. You don't see that very often on the final day of a stage race. "The Baj" (Andrew Bajadali) becomes another UCI Continental winner this year. Jacques-Maynes jumped onto the podium after starting the day in 9th. The Canadian based Symmetrics Cycling Team had a great showing ending the event as top UCI Continental team behind Pro Continental teams Healthnet and Slipstream.
