L'Equipe
"Swimming's world governing body FINA have promised to carry out a full investigation into how details of Ian Thorpe's drug test results were leaked to the French newspaper L'Equipe."
Do any people believe this paper these days?

I would laugh my ass off if this test was done at the same lab that has been leaking all of these cycling results. This lab so needs to go down.
L'Equipe isn't wrong, in this case (or in Floyd's)...they just shouldn't have had the info when they did, the lab is the issue.

The only "French" bit in this news is, that French L'Equipe released it: they never said he doped, they are wondering why FINA is launching an investigation on this case. Oh yes, and the author of the article is Mr Damien Ressot, this "French bastard" who told all these "lies" about Mr Livestrong project !!!
Damien Ressot is probably one of the only (and excellent) press investigator specialising in doping in the world. He knows what he is talking about. And he knows a hell of people who will give him hints, or information. He isn't stupid, and he cross checks everything before releasing. It's thanks to guys like him, that scandals like the Watergate affair were released.
How did HE know about an Australian affair? Simply because he was in Melbourne with more than three quarters of the French sports press following French Laure Manaudou at the World Champs...
But what the heck, they have nothing to do with this, but let's close the French lab, they're "evil" anyway ! )
Have a nice day
