Fulcrum Racing 1 vs. Rolf Vigor RS
So after getting the PT and wondering whether I should race with it, I started noticing that there wasn't much difference between my PT/RR 1.1 wheels and my Fulcrum 1's. The fulcrums aren't an "aero" wheel per se, but they do have the big, wide, bladed spokes. Rim section is 26mm.
I can get a great deal on a new pair of Rolf Vigor RS's, at almost an even trade if I sell the Fulcrum 1's. The rim section is 34mm with a thinner profile, and it uses smaller, more traditional bladed spokes. Since I don't have the cash to dump on PT/Zipps right now, I was wondering what you thought about whether the Rolfs would give more of an aero advantage--these would be totally race wheels only. Weight is also very close between the two sets.

why not just race on the PT/RR 1.1?
I'm sure others will talk about their experience with Rolf, but coming from my friend's experience:
He had a pair of Rolf Sesteires (older version of Vigor/comp etc.) They were really light but felt like noodles when he would get out of the saddle to climb (My friend is only 162 pounds, but comes from a MTB single speed background and can really crank the pedals).... needless to say he promptly sold them.
Knowing your weight DrPete, and you race preference in Crits. I don't know if Rolf Vectors would be good for hard sprinting out of corners etc. If you would be using them for just road races then I would see the benefit.

Pete as another choice you really should consider the Reynolds Stratus DV's. Excelsports has them on sale right now. They are a great wheel and excel's price is pretty damn good.

I have the Rolfs and love them. light and stiff enough for me but I am only 140lbs. I got mine in a trade for ksyrium's and they feel great on the road. Aero wise they at least look much faster. My only complaint for the Rolfs is the thin braking area. Hope this helps!
