Photos from the Tysons Corner Race on VeloPhotos.net... SWEEET.

I mentioned in another thread that Kevin Dillard took some great pics, and here's an example... This is my break, about to get caught:

And my bridge up to the aforementioned break...

There are tons of great pics from that race and many others. His site also lets you order prints for cheap from your choice of vendor, or you can just download the hi-res image.

I usually go the safe route too... they're all crazy until proven only mildly crazy.

Hmmm. Interesting. I was just thinking about how locked up my elbows get during races. Good point.

Yeah, I've gotten better, but the pics definitely show that old habits die hard.

I love that shot. The lone prey is targeted and pursued by a ravenous pack of evil vicious predators. The last whiff of struggling life eking its last breaths in terror, panic and instinct completely unaware of anything other than its inevitable doom; ultimately to be swarmed to certain death.

2: stop looking at your power meter thingy.

3: good job for taking a chance and getting OTF.

4: what's up with Rabobank back there? I remember that same dude sporting Cofidis wear last year. He's awfully, uh, big for a EuroPro.

Hehe... good points. But I SWEAR I wasn't looking at the powertap! Honest! I just had my head down for a sec because I was in pain. I checked the elapsed time once while in the pack, but otherwise I never looked at it. Should've listed that as good thing #4 for my race report, because it psyched me out at UMD.

I thought ol' Rabo was pretty funny too. He was pretty strong, though--he was hangin' out on or near the front for most of the race.

Great shots!

Looks like you had it dialed up to 400W. That guy behind you looks like he's about to puke all over your kit.

Yeah, we were actually putting a little time into the pack until the prime bell rang, and the frenzy began. Damn sponsors and their really nice primes!

Yea nice shots Pete...but like every BF thread where someone posts photos lets focus on something other than the original intent for a moment:

WTF is up with that guy's bike? Looks like a Tarmac (or an Allez maybe?) but the brakes scream late 70s Campy and the levers don't look like Ergo levers (have the profile but don't see the thumb deal), STIs (obviously) or SRAM (too rounded at the top)...was that dude running down tube shifters?

Does the expression on my face look like I checked out his shifters? I didn't even know what bike he was riding until I saw a pic.
