Rest day

So having been training hard I find myself with a rest day, this is good as I wake up in the night and find my legs are really aching.
Wake up and theres a thick blanket of mist and I think, 'good day to take it easy'.
I have breakfast and the mist starts to clear and I think, 'I just nip down to the local shops - few letters to post'. So I get my club gear on, get out the training bike and my wife says 'I didn't think you were riding today' Oh I say just posting the letters and she gives me that look which says 'thats a 2 minute ride, why the bottle?'
And so 5 hours later I roll back home, and get asked 'So they moved the post box again?'

The only time my legs "ache" is when I stop riding for like a week....then my body will start to hurt for a few days.

What kinda intensity are you putting out if you're putting in a lot of hours?

Ah. Yeah, even when going hard, my legs never really hurt anymore afterwards. It's only if I stop riding for a prolonged period, I get some WICKED aches....like when I had mono last fall and was off the bike for 6 weeks. After a little over a week, for a 3-4 day period, my body was killing me. It's more like my bones ache...not a muscle pain. I hate that.
