Michael Rogers
On Saturday I became aware of a young Australian guy called Michael Rogers. He´s just 23 years old an won this year´s Belgian Tour and recently the German Tour by performing an unbelievable TT (42 km) in which he defeated Ullrich (2nd) by more than one minute.
I never heard of him before but to me it seems that he will be the next upcoming star from Down Under.

Yeah, he is pretty young, and this has been his best season so far. But he's actually been around for a while already. He won the tour down under last year with Mapei. In that race he flatted and a spectator by the side of the road just happened to have a C-40 that was about the right size, and he lent it to Rogers, who regoined the peloton and kept control of the lead to win the TDU.
I've known he was a gread TT'er for a while, but I was a bit surprised he did so well on the summit finish in the Tour of Germany to keep himself within striking distance of the GC.
