Race Recovery Meal/Drink of Choice
What's everyone's drink or meal of choice after a race on Saturday or Sunday (and not racing later)? I usually pack a PB&J sandwich in the cooler and drink a Cytomax drink. If there's a Subway or deli shop nearby, I'll grab a turkey/ham sub for the ride home.

Recoverite immediately after, then usually some type of burrito. California Tortilla FTW!

after races, or hard interval sessions/group rides:
https://www.firstendurance.com/ultragen.html
cappucino flavor is delicious. For weekday training (rides are approx. 1.5 hrs.) I often carry it as my 2nd or jersey pocket bottle to drink on the way home.
I fricken love to have a cold coke, gotta be in a can, after a race. especially if it's hot outside.
After lower intensity or endurance mile rides, or indoor trainer a.m. workouts:
skim milk
Food - I am usually unable to eat solid food for an hr. or so after a hard race/group ride, but for longer rides or longer road races where I might want solid food (not often), I like to carry a pb&j quartered in a zip lock in my jersey pocket in place of a nutrition bar.

A Pint of recoverrite directly after I get off the bike. Only problem is there are no UK suppliers so I have to import it from the US and pay extra customs charges. despite that it's still the best.

For races that are far from home the biggest thing I crave and must have is a big diet Mt. Dew. Races close to home require a Blue Moon with orange. The Blue Moon is usually repeated until the 6 pack is gone. Boy . . . do I love to race close to home1

raspberry fig newtons and ice cold coke which I never drink during the week.
endurance/protein mix with a subway six inch tuna or similar right after the race followed by cheeseburger, fries and ice cold milk for dinner if it was a long hard race.
