other than using an indoor trainer any other things you racers do to keep in shape if its raining for weeks on end.
my weekly mileage keeps dropping and so does my avg speed strength etc. this week it is supposed to have severe storms all week again . its hard to keeep going up and down in my form and i keep missing or doing poorly in races.
what should i do run jog climb hills etc? aerobics?
if you're serious about racing, then you will train in the rain =)
seriously, so long as it's above 50, rain is not so bad. when ur heartrate starts going up ur not going to be cold, and the rain could even feel good.
Having a foul weather bike helps, I'll ride my race bike in freezing cold, wind or whatever but not in the rain, it just takes hours to properly clean it afterwards. I ride my rollers and can get a pretty brutal workout on them, sometimes it's harder than riding outdoors.
