Atlanta Area mid-week races?
Anyone know if there are any midweek races within a reasonable distance from ATL? Gonna be there next week and would like to get some sea-level intensity in.
Any hard group rides?

The best/hardest rides are
Mon: just a bunch of recovery rides
Tues: Marietta crit practice(US pros, pros, 1-4s) & Northlake Loop Ride(fast paced with lots of climbing)
Wed: Outback/L5Flyers(our club ride - good intensity/anaerobic ride) ride & Peachtree Battle Ride
Thurs: Roswell Ride, Pizza Ride(fast paced with a few good climbs) or Buckhead Bellyache(climbing, climbing and more climbing) (all 3 are great) for an easier ride, CVS in decatur
Fri: Off
Saturday: Tucker
Sunday: there's a few scattered rides
send me a PM and I'll give you more information. The info for these rides is on that sadlebred site, but let me know if you have any questions

What did you think? It was a little tame and the size was smaller because of two huge races this weekend, but still burned my legs
unfortunately no big pros showed up Normally at least Emile Abraham or some AEG or Jittery riders are there...

Branman,
Any idea how the traffic is getting to Outback Bikes for the ride when coming from midtown (GT)?
I just got back to Atlanta for grad school, and I am trying to figure out my ride schedule. Right now, I am hitting the Cycleworks Roswell Rd ride on Tuesdays, because I live 1/2 mile from there, and will probably start the Bellyache on Thursday, since it is on the way home.
I want to pick up one good hard ride during the week to keep fitness up that convenient for a commuter from Chastain Park area to GT.
Sorry to hijack the thread!

traffic will not be too bad, don't go up moreland though...
I'd take 10th st to monroe, right on monroe, left on ponce, right on N highland, left on colquitt, right on euclid and immediate left into outback.
if you're riding your bike from GT, I'd go 10th street or 5th street to get across the connector, then work your way to 8th street until Monroe, then left on monroe and immediate right on virginia, right on barnett, take barnett across ponce to get onto freedom park bike route, left on that, go across the first road(stay on the bike route), then when you hit N highland, take a right to get back on the road, left on colquitt, right on euclid, then you're there. The only dicey part is on 10th or 5th. I'll PM you my # number in case you have any questions.
Be prepared for the usual in-town riding though, fair amount of stopsigns and lights...redlining when you're going, but stopping fairly frequenly. I'll meet up with you on the ride, I'll be the really tall asian guy on the yellow/carbon giant with the aarons kit on. I'll let you know the sprint spots, etc.
