lenoir 6-23 - and sometimes the course fit you

I raced lenoir downtown today, legs felt like **** looked like a stacked field.

The course was basically downhill front stretch and uphill the back , gradual at first but you make a turn and it jumps up quickly, I knew the course suited me.

I started in dead last position, after a lap was sitting 20th wheel, moved up to 10th-ish wheel. decided to go for a prime, attacked, soloed away took 2 primes decided no one was going to bridge and went back to the field.

I sat 5th wheel simply answering attack and bringing breaks back. One guy went solo and we let him gain 20 seconds on us knowing he wasnt going to stay away. He got brought back, and little known to me but people were being shelled hard off the back, the field was down to 15 riders.

We go around again as I'm sitting second wheel and I hear bell lap, well I'm sitting second wheel, I guess I'm good.

An attack goes on the hill at 600m I jump on and counter at 400m on the last little bit of climb, One NC state guy is ahead of me coming off the climb but looks toast. As I go into the final corner I come around him totally expecting him to spring but he dosnt and I only sprint for maybe 5 seconds and look to see where hes at. Nope he didnt sprint and The field is 50m back I sit up a little and cross the line. Damn right Finally won one.

cat-3-ometer gets a couple of ticks and I walk away with a lot of cash.

Nice job, recneps! Congrats on the W. The course suited me too, though I didn't quite manage the win. Second'll do, though.

That's awesome. You'd better get those points and upgrade or you'll start looking like a sandbagger!
