Race bike build complete

After much skimping and saving (sleeping in my car during cross country trips, etc.), a year of swapping out parts and late nights on Ebay and the LBS, I have completed my build. A Salsa Campeon with Ultegra group, Easton Ascent II wheels, Zero Gravity brakes, FSA compact, ITM Stem, Easton Bars, and Speedplays.

I am very satisfied overall.

For Sale/Trade
Schwinn Peloton with 105 group (853 Reynolds Steel)
Kona Chute (Mountain Bike)

Certainly will try, still need 3 more races to go to Cat4. And I found out this last weekend that my crit skills are lacking, so I'll be hard pressed to get any points in those races when I'm a 4. I fell off the back 17min into a 30min race, but it was a pretty tough 4/5 race.

You skimped and saved and put Zero-G brakes on the bike? You coulda been up and running substantially quicker with some Ultegra calipers to match the group...

To each his own, though. Looks like a good solid racing steed.

Yeah, the Zero-G was more like an e-bay bid that I didn't think would win... but, it did drop me 0.4lbs when I took off my 105 calipers

The short answer is very nicely. This is my 3rd bike (Trek 1500, Felt 65). The latter two being aluminuim and this one being scandium doped Al. The carbon seat stays and the scandium really takes the harshness out of the ride. I'm not familiar enough with other bikes to make any other conclusions.

Nice bike old boy. But you really ought to be riding that Schwinn Peloton. I recommend a leather saddle +1lbs, and a hefty wheelset +1lbs to offset all those lightweight parts

Thanks for the wheel and tyre!
