Betinni TTTs on a road bike w/aero bars?

This was a surprising setup. Tarmac w/bars. I wonder if he's sporting the same goofy seatpost I use

I'm sure this isn't how he always runs, but I guess it works for a 15s pull every two minutes:

Well,

Bettinni must have determined his position on the non-TT bike was a faster or more powerful position....or - Specialized has another key rider with issues with the fit of their carbon frames.

I did a TTT for the empire state games a few weeks ago (think New York State olympics) and chose to use the same setup as Bettini above. I found it very comfortable to be in the drops while in the draft and then switch to the aerobar extensions when it was my turn to pull. My decision had less to do with the ability to more easily modulate speed in the drops than it did with just plain being more comfy in the drops. The race lasted almost 1.5 hours and it was an added bonus to be able to move my hand positions around a little.

Not sure what Bettini's motivations are.

They probably just didn't have TT bikes ready that early in the year.

Which photo do you mean? The Tour of germany is going on right now. The Tour of Ca pictures he's riding a TT bike. It's not the new Transition, but that's a TT bike.

I think it's pretty well documented (past photos, and lots of them) that Bettini doesn't like riding TT bikes. In the Giro (2005, I believe) he rode a road bike with TT bars for all of the time trials as well. Don't know why this is, but it has nothing to do with sponsors or their bikes.

Negative. Unless I gain 8 years overnight.

I'm still shocked and awed that there is no race for me tomorrow. No Cat1/2 or 3 tomorrow, unless you're 30 or 35+.

I'm getting sick of the people that organize these two weekends. EGV and DG, but mainly DG, shouldn't f*** people over. These are national caliber events.

Betinni was pissed that the bar-end shifters didn't have the WC rainbow on the rubber part so he refused to ride with them.
Actually, he has the same saddle as me, cool.

Yeah, until I started stretching 2 months ago, that's how I felt.
