My favorite Tour story thus far:
This Tour was large @ many levels. However, this is my favorite story (from Cyclingnews.com):
Tour podium girl kicked out
Only three of the four Credit Lyonnais podium girls made it to the Champs-Elysées yesterday. Blond podium girl Alicia was thrown out of the Tour this week. The official version has it that she "kept stacking up the mistakes". But behind the scenes, the story is that she kept smiling and kissing off the podium too, with a cyclist that never came close to wearing the Yellow Crédit Lyonnais jersey. It's in the girls' contracts that they can't socialize with the riders in that way.

i'm quite surprised to not see a "girls of the tour" website... although one of the velonews photogs always manages to get in a shot or two of attractive women along the route. i find it hysterical there's such an ethic to being a podium girl

didn´t see her, but she certainly is an angel (at least she looks like one)
A bit exaggerated from Leblanc and his friends.
No woman, no cry.

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but in one of the Pyranee stages near the end of the stage crowd control looked non-existent. At the very end of the stage the crowds were held back by barriers, but in the last couple of kilometres, some of the spectators were running along with the riders. One guy had his shorts down and cheeks hanging out!!!! as he was running along with the competitors. The OLN commentators appeared not to notice. Am I the only one that saw the Full Moon Runner??

Speaking of podium girls...well, they really are women, now aren't they...my husband and I were wondering if there are different 'female presenters' at each stage, or if a select group goes from stage to stage throughout the tour? anyone know?

As far as I know, the girls for the daily winner change from city to city. The other girls remain, I think 4 for each jersey...
