** SPOILER ** Vuelta

Wow, Freire's just kicking butt right now. When that guy's not injured (which is about 20 days a year ) he's the best there is. He went head to head with Petacchi, after milram spent about 60 K getting him to the front (and catching the break away, along with Quick-Step and Lampre) and Freire came out with his THIRD stage win!

Vuelta Stage 6 results Reinosa - Logroño, 184km

1 Oscar Friere (Spa) Rabobank 4hrs 24’ 10”
2 Koldo Fernandez (Spa) Euskaltel
3 André Korff (Ger) T-Mobile
4 Tom Boonen (Bel) QuickStep
5 Angelo Furlan (Ita) Credit Agricole
6 Alessandro Petacchi (Ita) Milram
7 Aurelien Clerc (Fra) Bouyges Telecom
8 André Griepel (Ger) T-Mobile
9 Rony Martias (Fra) Bouyges Telecom
10 Rene Mandri (Est) Ag2r all same time

Nice.
Great confidence boosters for Worlds, although any GT stage is huge unto itself.

no-one brings himself up to top form quicker than El Gato. 2 or 3 month layoff, then 3 weeks training and he's turning the 11 like it's not there.

An amazing talent.

Well, he isn't a three (3) time world champion for nothing. He's one of the greatest talents to ever throw a leg over a bike. Just can't stay healthy. Not like he just came out of left field to do this.
