Helmet saves about 1-2mph depending. More than a skinsuit by far.

Recalculate DrWJ formula for us non-mutants: .1-.2 mph speed advantage from aero helmet.

I think guys like DrW need hang out with that Xavier character from X-Men and go to their own Special School.

If you plan on riding with your head down like that, you might want to ditch the aero helmet. They're not meant to be antennas.

You can still improve by about 43 seconds.

1. Skinsuit
2. Benotto chrono water bottle
3. Visor for helmet ($30, you'll love it)
4. Remove giant sack and watch
5. Shaped base bars

also you should adjust your helmet backward so that the front of helmet's head harness rides up close to your hairline. This will help you keep the sperm tail running down your back.

If that's your iBike mount, remove it. That's good for about five seconds or so with the computer. And it looks like you wouldn't be getting clean air there anyway. Have you tested this?

This is all such amazing hooey. It boils down to how hard you pedal your friggin bicycle. Get a grip. Fast guys are fast, slow guys are slow. Bike weenies just love cool bike schwag.

I don't have an iBike mount and the tire bag comes off in the race. The slowest thing on the bicycle is Pcad, and unfortunately, that stays.

There is a fork in the road here. On one side, I could say:

On the other side: DrWJOD

hmmm... not sure how nasty to go with the response here.

Honestly, I don't think wind matters when you are on a trainer...

Jan would work. They won't have doping controls @ Silvermine. And tell me Ryan, if that helmet is so friggin aero, then why wasn't I any faster on that course today than with my non-aero helmet and non-Zipp wheels? Man, I sucked today in training. No speed increase. But I wasn't slower either. Regardless, those were all the watts the Pcad Power Authority could generate this morning. Thankfully, I did not T-bone some stupid Harriman deer @ 41mph. Always a possibility on Seven Lakes Drive.

On Sunday I will have much fresher legs. I went hard yesterday too. I will be resting on Friday and flickin buggers on Saturday.

there's nothing that the PeeCatty can do to improve himself.

the botto gives full props to the JoisyBoy Greeka currently residing in Orange County.

he's the King of Curmudgeon, and one of the few people on bf with a sense of humor.

that is all.

Yeah, I'm interested in a before/after with the new stem. I'm down 2cm now with the pad spacers removed from my aero bars (similar to what I suggested for Ratebeer last month). Feels great, but I find myself wanting to just rest my head on my forarms and nap. Not so good for focus, but at least I'm comfy -- and I can't get any lower in front without buying bike parts (I guess I could move the saddle forward and up...). I can't tell if it's faster or not, but I'm coming to RunFar with fresh legs next week

I'm crying already. I need Advil, a whirlpool and a backrub. Where's blonduathlongrl when you need her?

How many dudes pass me on Sunday? Let's start a pool. It's how many guys pass you minus how many guys you pass (if any) = your number. I'll take the '2' box, I'm putting $5 in the pool right now.
