Pictures that prove I'm faster than Pcad + bonus

First, TT position pictures to spite Pcad and make himself stop posting pictures of himself

First, with the Rocket Helmet:

Then, testing the Spiuk Helmet:

Test results coming soon.... Then, for comparison, the old(er) position:

Dropped 25s off of my PR on an 8 mile TT by changing the position. That includes a loss of power of ~20W, so when I get that back, watch out... It's considerably lower.

Now, for the bonus. I was gonna wait until January to pull the trigger on this, but I found this one on a ridiculous closeout.... Without further ado, meet Storm, version X. Version 1 coming after Saturday's ride -- I'm gonna move the SRM and the SRAM stuff over to it, then it'll be (sadly) time to part with my Tarmac, and the whole Ultegra group that came on the CR1.

I can't wait to ride it (hello, understatement).

My computer needs a cigarette after taking in those monster pics. Whew

So your position is more forward now?

Oh, nice CR1 by the way.

Oh, I know. I just had to give you crap for posting so many pictures of yourself.

The stable is slightly impressive, but less so if you keep in mind that the Tarmac is about to not be a part of it. Plus, the Scale build kit I got EP'ed, and I got the frame & wheelset below dealer cost (looong story). The CR1 I just got @ cost on closeout... The P2SL is a mishmash, but of equally good deals.

It couldn't care less. Arms need a bit of work... They start to hurt after ~20 mins in the position, but I can still hold it for an hour or so. Not the most fun thing to do, but hey... And I don't think I'll be in any TT's over an hour, so I'm not that worried about.

http://www.chriscollins.org/gallery2...p?g2_itemId=26 for more Scale fun hehe. It's only 2 weeks old. Of course, the first race it went to got poured on, so it came back all muddy.

I'm going to stop plugging my new toys and go work on HW now...

Sorry, I got excited . I wasn't planning on getting that anytime soon, but awesome deals are hard to pass on...

Do you prefer the CR1 more then the Tarmac? I assume the CR1 is a lighter frame, but from what I have heard is the CR1 rides a little more harsh. I Love the ride of my 05 S-works Tarmac

From test rides so far, yes. I kind of want a harsher frame, odd as that sounds... I'm a weird one like that, though. I swapped my carbon bars back for aluminum bars because I liked the feel better *shrug*.

The rocket helmet looks like it fits your back much better in the new position. What did you change? It looks like a shorter stem and maybe 74 deg?

Stem's actually 10mm longer, but it's a 125 degree stem flipped down vs a 8 degree stem flipped down.

Why don't you move that seat forward, so you don't have to ride on the "rivets".
It's not like you have to follow UCI rules.

That position looks great. It really moved you forward though. I wonder if you might feel a little better in the arms if you pushed your aero bars out a bit to get your upper arm angle closer to what it used to be. Then again, you'll probably develop the arm strength to compensate in a couple weeks anyway.

Congrats on the new ride!

The implication that these pillars of American society may be mythical is rather disturbing. Leave Europe before they suck all the US of A out of your entire being botto.
