uci 2008 race calender

so the grand tours are not going to be on the uci calender and the governing bodies (aso) are going to be allowed to invite whoever they want , why is mcquaid still wanting 18 pro tour teams to take part then. this reminds me of the irl and cart racing leagues squabble over indy.

ProTour '08 is a joke.
Most of the biggest races missing due to disputes.
No Grand Tours, no Roubaix, no Paris Nice, etc, etc, etc...
Man, do I miss the World Cup and old points structure.

Yeah maybe but the world's best will be in our backyard. Good for the sport over here. Everyone likes coming here.

but when it all boils down , its indy that everyone still wants to race at and win. i think the same about the classics and the grand tours. look at indy , they came back after awhile. but it isnt what it once was.
