Strange TT saddle in 1991 Tour for Castorama ?
Was watching an old VHS tape of the ABC coverage of the 1991 Tour prologue and the two riders from Castorama that got air time, Thiery Marie and Laurent Fignon, had some strange saddles on their TT bikes. They almost looked like something to sit back against. Maybe they were a faring of some kind?
Anyone know what these were and what the benefits would have been? Were they later outlawed or just didn't gain popularity?
I couldn't find a pic on the net, unfortunately.

San Marco also did something kind of funky with the Concor for a TT specific model. The rearmost portion came up in a ver sharp curve about 1.5-2 cm. There is one on a 7-11 TT bike at my sponsor shop.
