About time. The dude would have been an automatic Hall of Fame shoo-in without roids too. Great player. Massive head case.

I was very angry tonight after the indictment. WTF? The Feds couldn't have brought this case last March? Give me a friggin break. All the evidence in this matter is like five years old. Instead they jerked around until Bonds broke the Aaron record making this situation much more painful for the entire nation. I just don't get that. Does anybody? Does anybody get anything the Feds ever do about anything in the past 6 years?
I didn't think so.

This indictment effectively ends Bond's career. It should have ended before this season ever started.

nah, Aaron has stayed classy throughout this whole disgrace, possibly too much so. I hope the MLB strips bond's tittle so the real legend can stay above this muck where he belongs.

Remember, he was indicted for lying to the grand jury under oath not for taking PEDs. This will have no impact on his baseball records.

It already has. The collectible ball for his record breaking HR was sent to Cooperstown with an asterisk emblazoned on it after fans voted to do so on the Internet and the owner of the ball complied. You bet it will have an impact on his baseball records. Stay tuned.

Barry Bonds ... is he that candy armed left fielder that choked in the playoffs year after year, couldnt throw out a crippled Sid Bream at the plate from deep short, on a hard hit ground ball, when Sid was trying to score from 2nd?

He lied about saying he did not knowing take PEDs and Gary Anderson didn't inject him. ESPN reported that there is evidence from the BALCO investigation that Barry did failure a BALCO test for PEDs. Barry this whole time has been saying he has never failed a Baseball test, but that is only part of the truth.

What, no forgiveness? doping in sports? ridiculous. Barry was framed by the French and Canadians, with Dick Pound. The lab that tested Bonds needs to be investigated, as well as anyone who accused Bonds who was molested. Barry should write a book, start a defense fund and get working on his appeal. I'm going to donate to Free Barry. While he's at it, he should play the race card and blame everything in is life on that testing lab.

Innocent until enough money is paid to prove innocent.

Where's the positive dope test on Armstrong? Right. There aren't any. They have those on Bonds. Did Armstrong lie to a Grand Jury? No.

Forgiveness has its place. Bonds isn't it.

Yep, same here. In fact, I consider pro sports a silly phrase. If it is pro, it is no longer the sport, but just entertainment business.

After all, the concept of a sport is where rules are followed to make it fair for all so that a contest can be engaged in. With the professionals, the goal is to win at whatever cost so that you can increase your earnings.

Sounds like business to me, not sports.

I'm not sure...did he used to ride for TMO? I'm gonna take a wild guess and predict that Slipstream/Chipotle will not be interested in him.

Wait...he does race bikes, right?

Just some dude that could hit a baseball. Then realized the harder he hit the ball the more we paid him. The more he got paid the more he hit. His best friend Greg said take this magic gel and rub it on yourself and you will hit more home runs and people will pay you more. Well now he has hit too many home runs and we want our money back so we can pay another dude named A-Rod to hit more.

There is sworn court testimony from four different people that Armstrong was doping prior to his cancer, and sworn admission from a US Postal coach of an active US Postal doping program.
Armstrong's lawyers had these tidbits sealed at the conclusion of the case. His lawyers also threatened to sue several US news agencies who have seen the leaked testimony. Only the CBC and BBC have done stories because Lance's goons have no legal power in those countries. Not quite the actions of someone with nothing to hide.

Regardless, America will still be the 'World Champions' of baseball.

Sworn court testimony has both been untrue and lied about throughout history...and what better lie can you tell but something that the person you are accusing can not prove? It is a win win for the lier....

Not to say you are wrong BUT that sworn court testimony in this case means about NOTHING in my book....

He said She said dude. That won't stand up in a U.S. Court, one without the kangaroos. Show me the EVIDENCE. If you don't have any, that's show biz. And that's the part you'll never get about pro sports. It's ALL show biz. Emphasis on the biz.

Does anyone care if a few people declare that they're DONE WITH PRO SPORTS!? Oh no. Will the NFL, MLB, or any other pro sport survive?

Yes. Sports are more entertaining than 99% of the crap coming out of Hollywood.
