Predictor lotto... another name change

Well, after just a year promoting pregnancy tests, XXXX-Lotto is changing names again. Looks like Silence-Lotto for their anti-snoring medication. Yah? Can you imagine the jerseys now? As if pink wasn't bad enough.

Davitamon-Lotto had great jerseys and then they changed them.

I can manage the name if they change their colors...

they didn't switch sponsors, the drug company that pays them decided to switch which product to advertise....

what's lame about that? Company pays lots of money for jersey logo. Company pays more money for another year, and wants to switch logos, sounds fair enough.

And if nothing else, they get a lot of publicity without having to fork out extra dough!

Silence-Lotto is actually a really cool team name, IMHO.

Could be worse. They could be Fat Control-Lotto

https://www.omega-pharma.be/EN/conten...18&produktid=2

Edit - No they couldnt. From what i've found on the old interwebs, Silence is distributed by a Utah based company called Neways. They are an Amway type setup with worldwide distribution.

They also have been in hot water.

Can this really be the same company thats gonna sponsor a cycling team?

I don't know about the connection between Silence and Neways, but the Silence that the team will be advertising is a product developed by Persee Médica, a French company acquired by Omega Pharma in April of 2007. From what I could find, it looks like Silence has heretofore been distributed in France only. Looking at ingredient lists here and here, I don't think the French and American versions are the same product.

The packaging for "Silence" looks kind of cool, those'll probably be the jersey colors, right?

I do sure hope thats true. It really blows my mind to think that someone would want Neways as a cycling sponsor. The HGH scandal would be bad enough, but add in Multi-Level Marketing...Oh boy!
