2008 Giro to include FOUR time trials!

The first and last stages, plus two in between.

Any thoughts on who this will favour?

I briefly thought it would favor Paolo Savoldelli, but now that he's riding for LPR, who knows how he'll do in the team time-trial. Also, there is a long, steep mountain time-trial that doesn't work in his favor either. In fact, there is only 59k of flat, individual time-trialing in total. I think the number and type of time-trials will favor CSC's Andy Schleck more than anybody.

FYI, I have Giro d'Italia 2008 maps, profiles, some analysis and links to other resources on my
Giro 2008 page

This course doesn't suit pure TT'ests.
Long flat 30-60k tests are what those guys want.
This is more like a variety for both the 80kg guys and the 55kg guys.

As usual, it's a 3 week contest that rewards the all arounder that must be able to climb high mountains.

looks exciting.

i geuss this year it will switch. The tour will favor climbers and the giro will favor a TT'er. but those mountains still look brutal.
