Estimating LT HR - CTS Field Test vs. 30min TT

I'd like to estimate my threshold HR using either the CTS Field Test (2x8min efforts) or the HR average of the last 20mins of a 30min TT effort. Are there any advantages of one over the other?

I've done both methods and found results to be within a few bpm of each other - probably close enough for HR zones. Advantage of the 2x8' version is that it's easier to find 8' of suitable road/terrain to perform the test than it is to find 20 to 30 mins. of suitable road/terrain.

Given the weather now, I'm planning to do this on a trainer so the 2x8' efforts will probably be easier to deal with mentally. Thanks for the reply.
