hmmm. that seems right to me too. (don't 1/2/3 races count for cat 1 or 2 upgrade points no matter the composition of each type?) my guess is that he was just saying that in the extremes of 10 percent cat 3's and 90 percent cat 4's but i'm not sure. i'll try to send an email for clarification and see what comes back.

please do that. i haven't been too impressed with the few races of his that i've been in. not a big deal, but if there isn't even any hope of getting any upgrade points, i'll just find a group to ride with and get the same benefits for less money. i'm sorry to hear about OVR. there aren't enough road races around ohio as it is; those guys always put on a good show, i thought

This all makes me happy I'm racing M35+ instead of category. Faster and shorter races anyway -- suits me and my 75 mile/week training

Yeah, I also read "The results (spring series) will be sent to USAcycling every week, what they do with them is anyone's guess, but we will get them there and see what happens".

that's a confidence builder in catting up

I just keep a word doc of all results and locations. No problems upgrading so far.

+1 on the word doc. I've noticed half my races haven't even been reported to USA cycling.

BTW, GA Cup last year was Competitive (4/5), Elite (3/4), Pro12, Masters 35+ and Women. Next year I "heard" it will be Pro12, 3, 4, 5 and Masters 35+.

Woah, I had no idea that the OVR series wasn't going to go on, or at least was in a state of major reconstruction, for 2008. What happened?

It's been the rumor going around the campfire for 4-5 months now. To my knowledge, there is no official word.

Kirk will probably upgrade you if you wanted to get an upgrade. Just tally down all your races.
