Here are my races for the first half of the season. Its basically a hybrid of collegiate and USCF racing. The schedule will change depending on when I complete my goals. As soon as I get my 3 I'll back off and carry a lighter schedule leading into Conference and Gila.

Goal #1 Upgrade to Cat 3- hopefully this should come pretty quickly
Goal #2 Upgrade to Collegiate A's- dependent on goal #1
Goal #3 Race Tour of Gila in the 3's
Goal #4 Race at Collegiate Nationals

1/25-1/27 Southern Nevada Stage Race
2/2 Boulevard
2/3 Red Trolley
2/9 UCLA ITT/TTT
2/10 UCLA RR
2/16 Cal RR
2/17 Cal Crit
3/1 Baker to Death Valley RR
3/2 Ironbruin Triathlon
3/8 Stanford or Tour de Murrieta
3/9 Stanford or Tour de Murrieta
3/16 LA Circuit Race
3/22 Santa Cruz RR
3/23 Santa Cruz HCTT
3/28 San Dimas Stage Race TT
3/29 San Dimas Stage Race RR
3/30 San Dimas Stage Race Crit
4/5 UC Irvine
4/6 UC Irvine
4/11 San Diego Omnium
4/12 San Diego Omnium
4/13 San Diego Omnium
4/19 Sea Otter Classic
4/20 Sea Otter Classic
4/26 Reno TT/ Crit (Conference)
4/27 Reno RR (Conference)
4/30 Tour of Gila
5/1 Tour of Gila
5/2 Tour of Gila
5/3 Tour of Gila
5/4 Tour of Gila
5/10 Collegiate Nationals
5/11 Collegiate Nationals

It's likely I won't do all of the races on here. I'll probably take at least 1 or 2 weekends to come up for air.

After Gila and/or Nationals I'll evaluate myself mentally and physically and structure the second half of the season accordingly.

TBRA website is showing that this is only a Sunday Crit now. Can you confirm this is still a full race weekend?

hopefully i will go to maybe 7 of those collegiate weekends, then nationals if all goes well. USAC is also on the schedule (racing with the Zaytoun-Miller team), hopefully i will be able to travel to at least one stage race. my calendar would look sparse as hell compared to recneps' if i posted it here, but if i can race and get results enough to get the points to cat up to 2 before my 21st birthday (July 9th), i'll be happy.

It didn't take too long to move up to Cat 3 and this was actually my first time racing the 4s. I managed to get by without any crashes.

In my prior career I was a Junior and raced sometimes with the Cat 2s. The local rep pretty much gave Cat 2 status to any Juniors that placed well regularly.

All road races apart from a crit in Feb for my first full year of racing (did my first one in December last year). All in the south of England (UK), close to London. Might do a couple of local time trials as well, but my club doesn't do TT's, so I'll be doing them as an independent rider.

Glade CC Spring Road Race 13.04.2008 - 78mi

Whitewebbs Road Race 18.05.2008 - 68mi

Team Economic Energy RR 22.06.2008 - 71mi

Redbridge Road Race 27.07.2008 - 66mi

ERRL Championship 10.08.2008 - 75mi

Essex Roads CC Road Race 31.08.2008 - 50mi

Last Chance Points Grabber 28.09.2008 - 67mi

So far--
Early Bird Crit 1/27 & 2/3
Cherry Pie Crit 2/?
Solvang Century 3/8
Sea Otter Classic
Chico Wildflower Century 4/?
Monticello Century 5/?
Dunlop TT 6/?
Davis Crit 7/?
Vacaville Gran Prix 7/? (right before or right after Davis)
Esparto TT 8/?
Marin Century 8/?
Scaled Up TT 9/?

I haven't looked at all the crits available, nor have I considered a road race. The centuries and Dunlop and Scaled Up TTs we'll do on our tandem. Everything else is all me.

Since this is my first season racing crits my goals are to stay upright and finish top 10. Anything else is gravy.

Since my team is Cat-4 heavy (we have about a dozen), my schedule will be influenced somewhat by the team's desires.

My goals:

- create a mighty gasping of breath, nashing of teeth, and cries of woe in my wake as I awaken my Ninja Warrior bike skilz (just kidding)

Real goals:

- assist the team's attempt to place (I B DOMESTIC)

that is all

I live in the great white north so I won't be ramping it up until the end of April!

We have 7 Sask Cups this year, of which I will attend 6. As well I'd like to maybe make it over to Alberta with some clubmates for certain races, and I'll be hitting up some races down in Montana with Cypress this summer . Looking at a total of probably 10-12 races between April and September, then transitioning into cross.

Goals this year are just to continue improving off of a good Cat 5 season, keep training with power, shooting for...

5 sec = 16.33 w/kg -> 18 w/kg
1 min = 7.47 w/kg -> 9 w/kg
5 min = 4.42 w/kg -> 5.5 w/kg
FTP = 4 w/kg -> 4.75 w/kg

[QUOTE=bdcheung;6040428]We're at the cusp of the 2008 season. What's your schedule? What are your goals?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Schedule:

-MABRA calender, except RFK - I dont like that course at all and I doubt I'll do all the TTs, but might do one or 2 depending on my Cat 3 BAR status

Non-MABRA (tentative on these)
-Turkey Hill Road Race up in Manor Twp PA, great race course. If it doesnt conflict with Poolesville RR, I'm there, and would highly recommend it to anyone else who is Cat 4 or upper
-Fitchburg
-Tour de Toona

Goals:
-Top 5 Cat 3 BAR, with stretch goal to win it. That'll take racing very smart and patient (not my strong suit). Every match has to count.
-Win a road race and a crit (cant specify which ones, too many competitors lurking on BF!)
-Race for other team mate who will prioritize Fitchburg and 'Toona
-Upgrade to Cat 2 by season end
-stay healthy, motivated, and positive
-Mentor other team mates who are newer to racing to help them learn from what they did well and not so well

Last year was a tough year for me due to outside factors that were beyond my control, I'm hoping to come back strong in 2008!
