voekler hanging with the climbers?

also, till the very end (after tommy got dropped), schlecks were just marking contador who was struggling
cadel is in not hurry to grab the jersey yet

i doubt that was much of an effort honestly till about 3K

Tommy D still did better than Levi who is in great form right now, but maybe a bit depressed after losing so much time. Tommy D has come through for Garmin so far, hopefully he can hold on through the mountain stages and pull a Hesjedal/Wiggins that Garmin always seems to produce a Top10 GC from no where.

Voeckler is having an amazing season, I seriously wouldn't be surprised to see him hang onto top 5 GC by the end and hold that Jersey for quite a while.

What's the over/under on Whipple's Disease?

Actually Vaughter's Syndrome pretty much guarantees he'll stick in the top ten. Then Sky will poach his contract and a plague will fall on his house.

sad thing about Levi - I don't think he has the riding style that would allow him to poach a stage like S.Sanchez did today.
He's a one-trick pony, racing-wise, no sprint, no attacking for stages, and with Panzerwagon/Millar/Cancellara/etc present, he doesn't have a shot at a TT win either.

it's a pity for sure.

Why is he carrying a water bottle on a 2km prologue? That probably cost him 1/2 sec.

Water bottle might be more aero. Empty bottle might be less of a weight penalty than an aero advantage. Or he just forgot to get rid of the bottle after he finished warming up.

haha...dude got pretty banged and bashed up along with the rest of Garmin-Sharp. Luckily Dave Z was so far out front in the break most of the race, he was the only one to avoid mayhem...poor Tommy D.

thought of this thread as i was watching the stage. i thought: umm, 2minute lead with 18miles to descend, wonder if Tommy D will have a mishap of sort descending

good on him for holding the lead to the end.
