A Scottish Tour?
I`ve heard it mentioned that a 4 day pro race tour in Scotland is proposed for next year (last week in May to be precise).
Any one else heard of this or is it just a hopefull rumour. Also they are hoping the likes of Armstrong and Ulrich will be up for it as a prelude before the T.d.F
This would be fantastic if it is legit`. Reckon the money will need to be good to lure those two to enter though.

I think the tour of Ireland is still held. I do know the
Milk Ras is being run.
haven't heard anything about tour of Scotland but it
could be really interesting, lots of climbing!

A guy I rode along with the other day mentioned it to me.
I certainly hope it happens
I have already checked my touring tent, to make sure it is user worthy. I want to stake my place nice and early on top of the Lecht....

This is what I remember reading in Cycling+, may not be acurate:
Organized by the same people as the Tour of Switzerland (IMG I think).
UCI 2.3 event
Backed by various local dairies, so it will officially be the Milk Race.
Still awaiting approval by the Scottish Assembly. The govournment is trying to increase numbers of leisure and sporting events; they set out 16 criteria for proposals, the ToS met every one, so it looks good.
The organizers are hoping to bring some major teams, but maybe not Lance or Jan (you know what they're like). But hopefully at least Cofidis (local boy David Millar of course), so expect teams of similar standing.
