Sad to note also that two other riders were hospitalized from a car making a left turn in front of another group in the same area the same day.

It has been a very sad and trying time here in the bay area. Both are very popular training areas for the locals, me included. There are several threads in the Nor Cal forum about the accidents. Hopefully drivers will become more aware of cyclists through this tragic loss, and the others that were injured just up the road. Im still at a loss of words.

Actually it was 3, 2 of which were released within 5 hours, the other needed a bit more care but looks to be recovering.

That is horrible and devastating. I hope that all of the involved families of the riders and the cop can pull through such a hardship.
