Steel City Showdown

Hey guys, Panther here.

It was a real struggle getting the pittsburgh collegiate race weekend to happen, and we would like to know what you guys out there thought of our races? Good or Bad

1. Thanks for holding it.
2. A death in the family kept me from racing. Had I gone, though, I would've preferred the RR be open to the public rather than the crit. I know this is harder logistically - but I get enough crits here, I don't need to travel.

I thought both were exceptional. The vicious RR course blew apart almost all fields within 3 miles of the start, and the crit was the fastest yet safest I've done in a while. I did men's B for both and finished top ten in both.

We expected a smaller turnout because of the holiday, and were fairly happy about the attendance. I will pass what i hear to the other club members...I personally love that crit course

I rode the RR course 3 times on Friday and 3 on Sunday. Great choice for the stronger guys but I was feeling for the beginer riders. On raceday my son and I came out and spectated a bit and yelled some encouragment to the racers on top of Hills Church Rd. I thought the local police were doing an outstanding job of clearing the roads of traffic.

Even though I no longer race in the MWCCC, I'd like to apologize for the lack of attendance. Very few of the top racers (two or three of the top 10-15ish) were there, two of those being Purdon't guys. Spring breaks, Easter, Little 500 quals and the distance people would've had to drive turned a lot of people off.
