I think anything not too heavy will be fine. Avoid stomach upsetting foods. If that were me I'd probably have a muffin of some kind or fig newtons, coffee or soda, some electrolyte kind of drink, and some protein (shake or, if I'm feeling the need, a Slim Jim or equivalent).
Okay, I'll be honest. I'll *plan* on eating all that. Instead, after the first race, I'll get caught up in story telling, comparing race notes, saying hi to friends, etc., then realize I have 5 minutes before the start of the next race and I really have to use the portapotties. I'll pour a Coke in one bottle, water in another, and roll up to the line with a mouth full of Fig Newtons.
