Fantastic. Sometimes those things get to be Pro-only.

I'm bumming that I won't be here because I would have liked to be in this race and
because I was under the impression that MetLife was coming down from the Boston
area (I bought their kit because I've done research for MetLife and the Director lives/
works in my old town just outside of Boston -- the kit looks great and Capoforma feels
good...love Snoopy, smile).

If you are in Austin, you gotta do it!!!! Looks like it will be an awesome event; my
understanding has been that there will be races for all categories/levels (see
here).

(Don't cry for me as I'll be in Ireland.)

I would do it in a HEARTBEAT. You know they'll just rip your legs off to get away from you at the start. I'd pay $30 to see how long I could last.

Yeah, I figure if I'm gonna get dropped anyway, I should just do a 1m test off the line. A pure WRI™. Then go out the back in a fire ball.

I'm sure the pros will drill it off the line so they don't have to ride next to goofballs like me anyway.

Use some of your airline miles and git yourself down here...maybe a BFer could host you
I'm not sure that any one other than pro/1 will be able to race with the pros/1s and the
entry fee is a tad more than $30, unless you are in the Women Open/Junior Open (note that
Juniors are free!!!!) However, all the other cool events going on over the four days look
good enough to me. Oh hold on, it does look you can line up with the visiting pros (note that
the format is not the usual Open, but P, 1, 2, 3 from what I saw) at The Driveway....that will
be cool, and the cost will only be $15 (if usual pricing holds) !!!!!

Folks, start your networking for those VIP passes!!!!

Oh.... I'll be at that Thursday crit, don't worry. That was a joke of a reply, really. The opportunity to race against Rock Racing cannot be missed.

The flier says it's presented by UT Cycling, of which I'm the President.... Wonder if that's enough for me to get a VIP pass (yes, I'm joking, but it would be totally sweet).

Haha, I don't like exploiting opportunities, and I'm pretty sure that's a misprint on the flier.

Bad news, though... The Thursday night Driveway crit is P/1/2/3 for that day only -- no 4's

Welcome to so cal racing every race. Cool to see the teams, but so much harder to get a good placing.

I was going to say the same thing. Not always that stacked but our spring races had many of those guys. Merckx89, you shouldn't be complaining about the placings, you don't have to race those guys...yet.

That's going to be fun to watch, both teams bringing their big guns. I saw Toyota united edge out Rock at the LA Circuit race a few months back. Both had trains leading up to the finish and Toyota's train was faster.

Different crew of guys for this race on both sides... If I was a betting man... I'd put my money on... ROCK.
