I've got some good news, and some bad news
It's been about a week now and since I'm home I figure I'll post my experience.
The good news first, last Tuesday at our weekly race series (A Tuesday Night Worlds type deal) I set new power records from 1:17-1:59 (501w-437w) on a power climb we have on the course. I typically ride with the 2/3 group even though I'm a 4 and just hang on until they eventually spit me out.
So here's the bad news, I crashed just after the top of that hill on a gravel to pavement turnaround. As a result I have a spiral fracture to my upper right femur (Read: Broken Hip). So now I have 3 shiny new pins in my leg and I'm on crutches for 6 weeks and off the bike for 12 weeks . There goes my road season for the year. I'll take 1 win and 2 sub-par stage races away from this season and start looking forward to cross season starting in October. Erg
