Race Classes.....
Im being a newbie...but what do the classes mean...such as 2.HC, CDM, 1.HC, JO, 1.3, 1.2, 2.3......and so on....

GT ...Grand Tour
2 refers to a Stage Race
1 refers to a One Day Race
The HC or numbers that follow refer to the assumed difficulty and points on offer, with HC being the highest, .1 the second highest, etc.
There are a few other special designations that can be viewed at www.uci.ch or at the end of the 2004 road calendar at www.cyclingnews.com
