Aid question

There is no feed zone on this circuit course so we aren't allowed to take any bottles or anything. My question is- can you still have someone dump some ice cold water on you each lap to help cool off?

Unless you are off the front or back, how do you suppose that would even work?

They splash you from the side as you go by...?

Seen it done many times...

A super-soaker is also effective.

I have never been prevented from starting a race with bottles in my cages.

I guess, but you would need pretty good aim to avoid all the other people in the pack.

If its really that hot then they wont mind.

To the OP take and extra bottle in the jersey. Drink a lot and dump the rest on you in the beginning then you have still two bottle for the race. If its a circuit race I'm guessing is under an hour and a half so that should be good even on 100 degree days.

What I like to do is stuff a bottle in my rear jersey pocket with a ton of ice in it. Feels so good. I bet putting one of those blue ice packs back there would also feel pretty good.
