I was about to say, "Aw, **** yeah, congrats!". But I could be a cat 1 MTB'r next year if I bought a license this year.

It's better to be Cat 1 at something than nothing at all.

I've never seen a USCF mountain bike race. Do they exist?

Members currently categorized as Semi-Pro may choose either Category 1 or Pro designation for the 2009 racing season.
I'm glad I got my legit pro upgrade not too long ago. This puts the semi's in a bit of a conundrum... although I'd be willing to be that 95% of them will go up and not down.
*edited for spelling, thanks ElJamoquio
