Schedules around here aren't known until a couple of weeks before the race in several cases.

That being said:
Spring series road races - 5-7 races
QCW TT series - 20 races (if I end up moving)
"the other" spring series road races - probably 2-3 of those
Colavita TT series - 9 races
state tt
national tt
the other national tt
about 10 other tt's not listed
probably 5-10 crits; Dayton, Troy, Burg, Arnold, etc
Pancake stage race

Kensuf, why are you guys doing the BIO crit the first weekend of FPS?
Why not start the BIO's on Jan 10th, if you need to have the normal 3?
Deland is Jan31/Feb1
Who's promoting those since Dan's departure?

That doesn't make a lot of sense. FPS race or training crit all both the same distance from home. DeLand is a good race. Isn't there talk of Armada doing some early Jan races? That will kill the Battle of Olustee, too.

Hey BDC, you're in NOVA right? I'm gonna be in culpeper during the spring. Any reccomendations for my first full racing season? I could probably eliminate some trips down to the vabeach area.

Jeff Cup - Charlottesville
Wintergreen Hill Climb - Charlottesvill-esque

those are two that are nearby... if you're willing to drive up to the DC metro area, there are a ton of races.

Yeah, it looks like BIO will be the 17th and 24th only with the Battle being on the 25th.

The Armada Crit is December 27th I think... There's also another two crits on Jan 1 and 10 somewhere in Clermont (check the windermereroadies site for those specs). I'm going to skip the Jan 1/10th crits because I'll be sleeping, working, or riding the tour de felasco.

So, revise my initial post to reflect those changes.

Bring it baby!

So you're doing just about every race on the schedule, Andy? I will do all of the ones my travel schedule and finances allow. Of course, I'm typing this from Madrid, and my travel for next year is going to be more frequent..

I'll be adding yet another over the hill guy to the Velobrew team this coming year as well. I couldn't resist the highly structured team approach.

It's going to be my first season as a 4. I lost the bulk of my last season and I'm totally amped about racing again.

I'm staying around CT this summer to work and race, I'm hoping that's a better idea than staying in the philly burbs for the racing scene and such. There are so many races within an hours drive of Middletown, CT that it's totally crazy. This goes on from about march till may(?).

I'm hoping that I'm not setting myself up too bad, but I want to race atleast twice a weekend up to possibly 4 times in a weekend for the early part of the calender. I can get adequate rest in and the races are going to be about 30-40 min crits, so 1 or 2 of those on saturday and 1 or 2 of those on sunday doesn't sound too terrible. I want to start out doing 4 and 4/5 crits and then start doing 3/4 crits after about 3-4 weeks of racing. The best way I can think of getting better is to race with people who are much better than me.

I can't wait to get it handed to me

That being said:

Bethel and Plainville crits in the spring, other races depending on how I do in those and whether the team I want to get into lets me in or not.

...stupid warm weather people.

30*F and snow/slush this weekend - gawd bless the midwest.

My 2009 schedule: mostly crits, road races, time trials, stage race perhaps...
(July 26, Chicago Crit, for sure)

Recommend the Page Valley Road Race. That's not that far away. There might be a crit or two in Waynesboro this coming season too. There's also a lot of racing in Richmond; weekly crits, a circuit race, some track races etc. Nothing in between Charlottesville and Northern Virginia that I'm aware of, although I'm sure Madison, Green and Culpepper counties have great potential courses.

If you like climbing, there are some great races in WV put on by WVU.

thanks. i couldn't make it out to page valley this year because it interfered with moving back into college, but i hope that's not the case this year. I'll probably be at bryan park circuit race and maybe go fast turn left. i wish i had a track bike, i'd like to try racing one. maybe i can borrow a friends. i wish madison would have a road race. great place to ride.
