Saddle to bar drop? Yeah, I've got that.

Ryan Trebon's bike

30 cm of drop.

aren't those concors really thin? (not wide)

i would guess a monster like that would need a bigger saddle.

If you're ever really looked at him on the bike you'd see he's seriously all leg and arm.

His saddle height is a meter. A meter!

This is no camera trick, folks;
Actually, there is at least a little trickery there. The camera is clearly angled downward. Either way, that's a lot of drop, but I don't judge people's equipment if they are riding it faster than I ride mine.

I'm still going to give the nod to Trebon since its a cyclocross bike. He's riding this thing off-road and on surfaces that aren't smooth like the boards of a velodrome.

The dude is tall. He raced in our cyclocross crusade series. In one of the last races in the series, after the normal categories, there was the SSCCWC (single speed cyclo-cross world championships) - kind of a somewhat silly, somewhat serious, seriously hard single speed championship race. Trebon didn't do the qualifier, so it was announced that he would have to win both the regular single speed race and the 'A' race to qualify for the SSCCWC race. Which is proceeded to do.

But even the man gets tired, so in the SSCCWC race, he couldn't gain the front group and decided to take a beer handup from us (me and another 3 guys/gal from my team were handing up beer and generally heckling riders on the far side of the course). He offered to trade his bike for the beer and have one of us race the rest of the race for him, but looking at his saddle, it was up to my chest! We declined, but gave him the beer anyway.

Anyway, interesting exchange.

Oh yes. But over now. Back to trainers and rollers and sweating on the garage floor to prepare for roadie season.

I met him a year or two ago and would guess he's at 6'6" or 6'7". His saddle is up to my rib cage.

Uh, I think not. If it is, then he has his brifters mounted insanely high on the bars and his saddle angled nose-up.
