Deland races

I did the cat3 circuit race yesterday. With a 20mph crosswind there was nothing that was going to stick, so with only myself and our sprinter in the field, we went with option C which consisted of me lighting the fuse on a cherry bomb and throwing it into the field with 1.5 laps to go, which allowed him to get in the money.

Today I was in the 35+ road race. Myself and another teammate covered most attacks in the first lap, and got away once or twice with some very strong guys, but they weren't sticking. Another teammate got in a break with 15 other guys but most of those turkeys didn't want to work and it was reeled in with 4 laps to go. When down to 3 laps I got fed up, attacked a few times, finally someone countered and the rubber band broke. I made the selection, but a few of the guys in the break who were ALL on the same team, and had 17 other teammates in the field refused to work -- there was a chick from Kenda Tires who worked harder than these guys in the break. But myself and two other guys (plus team Kenda) kept trying to make it work and the break stuck.

End result, I lost, but I was top-10 (7th? 6th? who knows, I didn't check).

I'm tired. I'm now drinking a road dog and about to take a shower.

G'night gracie.

I solo'd 2 1/2 laps into that in the 4's before I figured that out. Some of us are slow learners
