Rock Racing to ride Kestrel?
Weird.
That's all I'm going to say about that. |
will they be training on motobecane's?
|
well there was talk they were going to use fuji... the parent company of fuji owns kestrel i belive.
|
Finally BikesDirect will get some street cred.
|
Talk about a downgrade.... I'm surprised they aren't on Huffys with how RR is doing in the current economic situation.
|
Would you guys feel the same if they were on Fujis? I don't get the Kestrel hate.

I think it's great. Great exposure for Kestrel.

Looks like that question mark can be removed from the title. |
I hope their track racers are on SE lagers
|
Probably on Teschner's again
|
sounds like they are going to be using black tape for their TT bikes for the Amgen Tour this year...

Freddie Rodriguez waved to me the other day on my ride. Yes, he physically took his hand off the handlebar and gave me a hearty "Howdy doo." All I had was "What up Freddie!" Maybe someday we'll be going in the same direction and chit chat. What other sport can you do where you can actually see professionals on the same "playing field" as you? Pretty amazing, really.

Utter and complete Fail.

The new Fuji TT bike was the first bike wholly designed in the US. If they approach Kestrel's TT bike in the same open-minded manner, then I think they'll have something.
Kestrel definitely lost a lot of "road race" cred (if they ever had any). It makes sense to try and bring some of it back. Hopefully they put cool paintjobs on the bikes. Wonder what happens in 6 months. cdr |

all i'm saying, is that from brand to brand comparison. Rock and De Rosa...sure I get that. Rock and Fuji...it grew on me. But Rock and Kestral just seems weird. I'm sorry, but it does.
Everyone of those guys would straight up beat me. And I've actually ridden with a few of them in So and NorCal. They are fast and paid to be fast. I'm not paid to be fast.....yet. |

Bahati at Red Trolley in San Diego yesterday.
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...0547Medium.jpg Although I admit I've always been kind of a Kestrel fan, anytime I've seen these frames in pictures I've always thought they were butt-fugly. But in person they're actually pretty badass. I kept hearing people making negative comments about the bikes whenever one of the Rock guys would walk or ride by, but unfortunately for the haters it didn't look as though they were hindered at all by their Kestrels. Bahati was all over the race, chasing breaks, etc. Justin Williams won the final pretty easily against full squads from Successful Living/Fly Australia, Team Type1, and a full leadout effort by Jelly Belly's heaviest hitters. |
that frame looks like a rebadged tarmac
|
Haha.
No.... No, it doesn't. |
