Just go out and ride a lot. if you arnt used to hills, then go climb a few that are about the same length.

How does this sound?
For the next 4 weeks: Monday 20 miles easy; Tuesday 30 miles; Wednesday 40 miles with some intervals or chasing or time trial type work outs; Thursday 30 miles easy; Friday clean the bike; Sat or Sun 60-70 miles nice pace.

for such a short I would be more worried about intensity than distance. if you do a long ride on the weekends take Monday off instead of Friday. It’s probably going to be fast as hell from the gun and then probably slow down just for a bit because its such a short race

I would say once or twice a week practice those 26 miles, and do it hard, like a time trial. The rest of the time just do 30 at you own pace.

What i would really do is join a club and ride with them. clubs are very good training aids.
