"Riding" means pushing the pace. When a DS sends his guys up to "ride" it means to push things and bring back the break.
In the documentary "Road to Paris", a young Vandevelde comes back to the team car as Johan is ordering Postal to chase down a break and he says to Johan, "So are we gonna ride?"

Yea.. the audio off the motorcycles is pretty fun.. i wish the guys would turn their audio down a little bit so it's not so much louder over it or just stfu and listen a bit they might learn something
