Tour of California- stage 4 (spoilers etc)

Might as well get this one started.. lots of KOM points to be had.

Anyone find an interview with Cav or George yesterday? i wanna know what happened.. last night on the VS recap they seemed to think Cav just didn't have the juice

The riders are passing by an orange grove. There seem to be a lot of bees - hopefully no one who is allergic will get stung.

To be followed shortly with "Tom Danielson stung by bee, drops out of race"

Karl Menzies (OUCH p/b Maxxis) and Floyd Landis (OUCH p/b Maxxis) are next to make the bridging attempt.

really? where was that from? I'm watching the amgen tracker feed and nothing mentioned.

Hincapie is having a hell of a time getting back to the pack.

man these guys are trying to get a break away started but the peloton is having nothing of it, lot of hard efforts early on in the race...

Victor Hugo Pena (rock racing) abandons after spending much time at the medical car early today.

the whole peloton is strung out almost single file.

Guess letting FL get away was too much stupidity to hope for.

that's an understatement man is this a tough stage so far, look at the splits in the back of the peloton , looks like quite a few riders may get dropped today.

and that was VdV in the break with Hincapie that was brought back by Chechu rubirea (astana)

looks like a breakaway is finally established with landis in the breakaway

jens voight, horner, danielson all trying to chase back the break.

that means danielson didn't drop due to a bee sting lol.

I don't think so with Astana chasing, there is plenty of flat land after the climbs to chase back.
