see you at the start line!

with the 2:30 start, which given the history of jeff cup will be more like a 3:40 start time, it's going to be a late sunday night.

nomad - which race? been looking for you at the 10 a.m. last 2 saturdays, where you been?

I've been hiding out, tryin to find some fitness! I'm creepin in on it pretty quick now, but not anywhere close to where I was last year at this time. Course, I peaked right about now with a combination of rest from moving and changes in schedule, then I crash/burned the rest of the spring, so I'm good with where I'm at

I'm in the 35+ for Jeff Cup, so I'll be there with you guys. We've got a good team fielding, so should be a fun race for us.

Isn't it common knowledge that the guys who say things like...

I'm on lousy form
my training has been ****e
my knee is bugging me
etc.

...are the ones to watch out for?

I'll be watching you two very closely.

I plan on pulling the pack around for 30 miles before being dropped on the lead-in to the finish on the false flat. Just like two years ago.

This will be my first year racing it (I'm in the 4 race.) Based on last year's results and race reports, it looks like everyone pretty much stayed together. You guys think it'll be any different this year?

Yep. I was considering whether I wanted to ride or not, and then it was closed almost immediately.

Probably for the best. The Saturday collegiate race is a Hill Climb TT at JMU, and then Jeff Cup is a pretty darn hilly RR nearby. I've decided to do neither and just do the Greenville (NC) Downtown crits on that Saturday and Sunday.

I'm not built for hill climb TTs and steep road races. I'll take my crits gladly. Less driving too.

I'm in 4, I think. I might be driving support instead. We'll see.

I'm a bit nervous about riding with that many cat 4 riders on our roads. It will be interesting for sure. Some of the big teams have the numbers to try fancy tactics as well, which will be a fun change. It will be my 3rd or 4th RR of the year, so I hope to have some form....

that climb at JMU is quite an experience. I had to get off the bike twice. I was drinking heavily the night before though. I also rode ~25 mi to the climb and back. I can't wait to go back stong sometime.

@&^%# I wish I was in jeff cup. It's the closest race to my house and i failed. i seriously can't wait to race this weekend with this anger.

It is? It's certainly not steep by any stretch. Rollers at best - mebbe I remember the course wrong.
