Thumbs up: 3T Ergonova Bars

I just got back from a ride with my new Ergonova Pro handlebars. So far I have to say I really like them. They replaced a pair of Blackbird Comp Pro handlebars.

The smooth graduation of the drops allows me to place my hands anywhere and still be comfortable.

I searched and didn't find much regarding these bars so I figured I'd start a new thread.

Cheers

actually, the ergonova also have a 'tighter' or 'more-variable' bend compared to the ergosum.

I was torn between the two

I was planning on picking up a set of these, but the stock CAAD9 bars are almost identical. I'm sure they're heavier, but really like the shape.

I like my Ergosum. I didn't want the flat top and I thought the shape looked a little more like what I was looking for.

I wanted the shorter reach/drop so I chose the Ergonova over the Ergosum. I could care less about the top since I barely put my hands there. I'll use the hoods more than the top.

*EDIT* Oops, I meant to post this in the road cycling forum, not the race forum. Oh well.

All 2009 Cervelo road bikes come with ergonova handlebars, so you know it must be right.

I went with Ergonova, mostly because I wanted to try out wing-type bars, as I've never had a chance to do so before. The ergo bump isn't very pronounced so I felt like I'd be comfy in a lot of positions, too.

I haven't gotten to ride them yet, but should be able to within a week or so.

I just got the 3T Rotundo Team... love the quality of them and super comfortable! Went from ergonomic drop (which I hated... could never get my hands in a comfortable position and still reach the brake levers when in the drops...). Matching stem used 3T ARX Team.

I was at the Toronto Bike Show yesterday and checked out the 3T Ergonova and Ergosum bars at a Cervelo booth. The Ergonovas look and feel fine but I think I'll definitely go for the Ergosums. The bend feels great and it's more comfortable to be on the tops with your thumbs wrapped underneath, vs. the Ergonovas where that sort of grip feels a bit awkward. I plan on using these bars on a cyclocross bike where being on the tops with my thumbs resting up there too would likely just result in catastrophic ejection off into the course tape/mud.

I've been trying to find the ergosum in a 40 - team model - but every where seems to be out of stock. 3t website only lists the pro model too for the ergosum. Are they pulling this model?

Cable routing is about the same as most bars I've tried. There is a groove under the top portion that allows for two cables to fit underneath.
