Augusta, NJ: Tuesday Nighter

out walking the earth
I'll make many of them. Should be there this tuesday, depending on what the doctor says. I planned on going last week, but the weather was too unsettled to make that drive.

Augusta is deep in the Sussex Outback pal. Ooofaaaa. It's 35 miles from here, I'm in bum*** NY and it's close to me. Takes me 45-50 mins to drive there on back roads.

it's typically six of one/half dozen of another for me re: highway vs. backroads. 80 is brutal in the afternoon.

It's really not that bad of a shot from here, but those Rockleigh crits are about the same amount of drive time for me.

If you don't do Rockleigh I'm starting a petition to make you grow hair on your legs and I'm buying you a helmet mirror.

I'll worry about other races if and when I can finish in the field in the NY Spring Series. Baby steps g.

The B race at rockleigh will be slower, much slower, than the master SS race. And from a tactical and suffering standpoint you will learn important stuff that will help you survive better in faster races.
That said, I likely won't be there except to spectate (we watched almost every one last year). Too hard an effort in the tiny A race with 4 races between saturday and sunday.

I felt surprisingly good on my bike yesterday riding with the swollen mouth and all. I'll be back training this week, out there again on Sunday. I may go to Augusta tomorrow night, we'll see how the week unfolds.

Crassic did crack me up with that NJ Transit question about Augusta. Mapquest it next time C. You'll see.

if pcad did the b rockleigh crits he'd have to deal with out of shape cat 5 idiots like me trying to puke all over his shiny s2. did rockleigh get the schedule up? or is it on bikereg?

I'm more worried about he Cat 5 idiots bringing down the bunch with their pack riding ineptitude more than anything else. You can puke on me and my bike for all I care. I think that's the idea. If I can get you to puke, I'm doing something right. It will be easier to ride on the front or animate and get in a break in the B race of course. So that's something right there.
