    Sex and athletic performance: myth or subjective?

    Does sex before, or the night before a race give anyone jelly legs?

    I gather that studies have shown that it doesn't, but is anyone convinced that it does adversely effect their racing? Any anecdotal evidence?

    Please, no predictable gags; I've seen them all.

    It can make me sleep much more soundly. Nervous tossing and turning the night before doesn't help your race one bit.

    And no, there's no real evidence one way or the other that sex will reduce (or enhance, for that matter) your athletic performance. Though if you're up too late the night before a race, that might be a problem.

    Its probably more along the lines of killing your performance because you were up all night chasing tail.
