My mind's a bit frazzled at the moment but I put some stuff up at the Bethel Spring Series site, under clinic. You can look there.
The stuff you put up on the Bethel site should be stickied here in the racing forum.
I feel a little smarter from reading it, and hopefully a little safer to myself and others the next time I'm racing.
thanks!

What's funny is I went over pretty much all of that in the first two sessions. After that it was specific questions pertaining to individual situations. I have to expand on the write-ups - I'm missing about 80% of the stuff I covered.

Glad to be of service.

Echelons and group riding in the rain would also be good topics if the weather cooperates with wind and/or rain. Then go to topic 19 mentioned above.

So .... out for an easy spin with a couple of guys and what do we see?

Zebras. Yes. Zebras in someone's yard grazing like horses. We're in NC here. Are Zebras even allowed outside a zoo or something around here?

Just. Freaky.

That's funny. We've got an exotic farm not too far from here with Zebra's, Oryx's, and a few other strange critters. I took your buddy Kerry down past it today, so he saw Zebra's too.

Yeah, I saw your FB post. That is so weird to meet up with a guy I know from here like that.

Yesterday I was riding next to a field. Saw a big shaggy dog bounding along towards the road. He stopped, looked at me with a surprised stance, turned around, and bounded away.

Somewhere in there I realized I was watching a bear cub. My first siting in the town, which, frankly, is overrun with bears.

Heading up to Tahoe City. Dropping the kids off with Nana and Papa and then we have dinner reservations at Plump Jack in Squaw. Maybe we'll take the gondola to High Camp, where we got married 11 years ago today. Have a nice weekend, ladies and gents.

funny you mention that. I was riding to Bear Mountain with a few friends, and one of them mentioned that he saw a mother and three cubs there three years ago. Luckily, they didn't come in between the mother and cubs. He also said that the bears resembled a huge dog.

I had my helmet cam on (of course) so I may be able to incorporate the bit into a training clip. I forgot to transfer files/etc yesterday so didn't look at what I got on film. At the very least I'll post a still somewhere.

Rode with the Sagan brothers today at the Swami's ride….

i got to ride next to him for about 2-3 miles…2nd wheel, good tailwind at 30mph and he's at 84bpm…i was at 141. very cool guy though, at the sprint point (that i smoked him on ) he pulled up right after and was like "where sprint?". very laid back though, his brother was very cool too, speaks much better english.

So I entered the NorCal TT Championship today. They use some crappy "Athlete in You" registration site that's about as tedious and repetitive as you can imagine.

They didn't have a line item for who your emergency contact number was, but they did have one for "relevant medical conditions"

So I wrote in Uromysitisis.

That's nuthin'. I was watching my son's team play in the Memorial day tournament, we were winning 2-0 with about 3 minutes to go when the other team got 2 quick goals, then got a penalty shot, which hit the crossbar and went high --- whew ..... then our player got tripped in their box, giving us a penalty shot, with what must have been about 30 seconds left. The coach tells my son to take it and he buries it in the back of the net for their first win this spring !! I hope my video taping worked.

Tour of Atlanta Cat III crit race two. A group goes OTF, mixes with the P/1/2 field and laps the cat III field. The IIIs started 20 seconds behind the P12 group. My teammate wins the IIIs. After the race fourth place protests and says he was behind the P12 group and didn't get any help from them so everyone ahead of him should move back a spot and he should win as he was unassisted. The refs say OK and my teammate gets moved to second.

What say you the jury? IMO sounds like 4th place couldn't get up to the P12 field and couldn't lap the IIIs and he's crying sour grapes. Moving into a field ahead of you isn't like having a teammate hang back, get lapped, and help a break.

Btw, Beckham bent it good into the box and Lopez redirected at the 67th or 69th minute. In extra time, NE had a flurry of activity at the net with field players blocking 2 shots (the 2nd one sure looked like it was past the goal line). LA 1 NE 0
