PT 2.4 thoughts
I know I am probably going to get cr@p for posting this here, but the Road forum feedback sucks. So I apologize in advance as I know this is the best place to get this answered.
I am in the market for a new computer and eventually a PowerTap. Since I can not splurge on the PowerTap right now, I was curious if anyone has any feedback on the CycleOps Cervo 2.4 PRO?
Is it worth investing in the Cervo 2.4 knowing that hopefully by the end of the year I will move into a PowerTap or should I just buy a cheap computer and upgrade all at once? Has anyone out there done this or seen issues doing so? Thanks...

Standard 2.4 Cervo: $369
Does not come with HR strap - which is: $60
Only comes with one sensor (cadence or speed) - so to get both, another $50
So you're in for $479 for that much.
These individual parts are WAY overpriced considering they're part of the package of a PT hub setup new.

I can get the Cervo 2.4 which has the heart rate sensor and 2 sensors for speed and cadence for between $320 and $360. Would that be worth it?

Garmin 705 can be had for ~$350 and can receive ANT+ data from a variety of powermeters in the future.

Just got mine in the mail yesterday. It comes with the check-off sheet the wheel builder used with a signature on it which is Kinda cool considering the amount of wheels competitive probably sends out. I just used my Garmin edge heart rate strap, PT picked it up no problem. Total $687 w/shipping to so cal
