    Missing Point

I placed 5th a couple of weekends ago and gained an upgrade point. Checking my results on USAC they have the other 2 races I did in that event listed. The other one - the one with the upgrade point - is listed with me in the correct position but they messed up my license number by 1 digit. I therefore don't have it on my profile.

I emailed the address listed on the reults page when you click the "To report missing or incorrect license numbers" link but nothing has changed.

Is this what I should be doing? Should I be waiting for a response from that source (rankings@usacycling.org was the address I believe)? I included the permit number for the event, the race category and the error.

I normally would give it more time (it's only been a few days), but I believe I have e-mailed that address in teh past and I never received any reply.

    Advice?

*yes I understand it doesn't really matter and that when applying for an upgrade the offical will be able to see the result, but I like accurate records.....well....as accurate as results can get.

Abandon all hope of accurate results on usacycling.org

I've raced 13 times this spring in Florida and Georgia (so a number of different promoters) and have no results at usacycling.
You could fall off a cliff and die.
You could get lost and die.
You could hit a tree and die.
OR YOU COULD STAY HOME AND FALL OFF THE COUCH AND DIE.

Basically, track your own points. Keep them in a list and provide it when you request an upgrade.
    Bring the pain.

I keep up with all my Cat2 upgrade points this year on a piece of paper.
    It looks like this:

USAC relies on the promoter to send in results. In order to attract racers who are not looking to upgrade, some promoters intentionally do not send in results. This way sandbaggers can race under the radar. There is no requirement that said promoter sends in anything except the insurance money and some paperwork so that any claims can be verified.

However, USAC has inside regional folks that deal with specific parts of USAC:
    http://www.usacycling.org/news/user/story.php?id=171

You can contact your regional inside person and request that the correction be made. I think you presented your request well in your original post, i.e. complete with details and no attitude.

My experience in dealing with the folks there are very positive. They've been helpful, cheerful, and have answered all my questions thoroughly.

I would recommend calling them first. If you get the person on the phone, it usually goes quickly. Email means a few round trips, if only to follow up with your request.

Do I get negative Cat 3 points for a DNF?
    Or just negative cool points?

Maybe we should team up and add our points together. We'd have twice as many.

Did you call CO or MA? CO would be the place to call for results and rankings. MA is more local stuff, like whether or not you are getting an upgrade.

Got an email response today that it's all taken care of. Result shows up now. Point doesn't. Figure that's only tallied up 1x/day
